Return for prayer and worship:

The Premier of Ontario recently announced that all churches in the Province of Ontario are permitted to open for prayer and worship, effective June 12, 2020. The Diocese of Hamilton has stated that Masses with a congregation will begin on Tuesday, June 16th, and weekend Masses with a congregation will begin on June 20/21.  There will be no Masses with the congregation this weekend.

A reminder that weekday Masses are at 8 am and 7 pm and Saturday at 9am. Weekend Masses will be at the usual 5 pm Saturday, 8:30; 10:15 and 12 noon on Sundays. For those who are unable to attend Mass we will still have Mass provided on our website. As well you are invited to participate in televised Masses on:

  • Salt and Light (each day at 6:30am, 11:00 am, 3:00pm, and 10:30 pm EST). Mass is also available online: https://saltandlighttv.org/mass.

  • Vision TV broadcasts Mass on Sunday at 8:00 am.

  •  Daily and Sunday Mass is also available on EWTN: https://www.ewtn.com/tv. (Sunday 8:00 am; Monday – Friday 8:00 am & 12:00 pm; Saturday 8:00 am & 9:30 am.)

Volunteers needed: After each Mass, the Church will be wiped down and disinfected before the next Mass. We are looking for two or three people to help with this after each weekend Mass. Please contact Tracy. If you can help, we will provide the gloves and all that you need.

My Dear Friends:

Welcome to our Catholic faith community.

Our parish community is involved in many aspects of service. Our many volunteers truly help to make our Church a welcoming place to worship God and enter a profound experience with Jesus. There are many groups and activities in our parish, we hope you can join one.

We are grateful to parents who bring their child(ren) to our Masses, it is nice to hear life in the Church. If you have a child in JK to grade 2 we offer a children’s liturgy at our 10:15 Mass throughout the school year.

We always strive to bring the message of love and mercy of Jesus to all who come to our parish. If you are a long-time parishioner or a new parishioner or a visitor, we welcome you with open arms and hope you truly have a wonderful encounter with Jesus at St Joseph.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Jeff Bergsma
